Jeder Turbinenhubschrauber zieht sie hinter sich her: den grauschwarzen Schleier, der vom Auspuff über die Verkleidung und den Heckausleger läuft. Er ist das Erste, was ein Eigner sieht, wenn er um die Maschine herumgeht, und das Letzte, was eine Waschkolonne wirklich löst. Der Grund ist einfach. Ruß aus Turbinenabgasen ist nicht Schmutz, der auf dem Lack liegt, sondern ein fein eingebrannter Film, der mit Druck und Kraft nicht besser wird, sondern nur den Lack angreift.
Every turbine rotorcraft carries it: the grey black veil running from the exhaust across the cowling and down the tail boom. It is the first thing an owner sees when walking around the machine, and the last thing a wash crew actually solves. The reason is simple. Turbine exhaust soot is not dirt lying on the paint, it is a finely baked on film that pressure and force do not improve, they only attack the paint.

Vor jedem maschinellen Schritt messen wir die Lackschichtdicke. Was nicht ohne Substanzverlust zu lösen wäre, bleibt stehen und wird als Befund dokumentiert, nicht als Erfolg verkauft.
We work in steps rather than by force: soaking with an aviation approved cleaner, mechanical work only as far as necessary and only with soft tools, then inspection under raking light and, where the paint allows it, a gentle machine refinement of the affected zone. Before every machine step we measure paint thickness. Whatever cannot be resolved without loss of substance stays and is documented as a finding, not sold as a success.
Sie erhalten die Zone vorher und nachher aus demselben Winkel fotografiert, mit Zeitstempel, dazu die Chargennummern der eingesetzten Mittel. Bei regelmäßiger Pflege kommt die Fahne deutlich langsamer zurück, weil eine glatte, versiegelte Oberfläche dem Ruß weniger Halt bietet als eine mattgewordene.
You receive the zone photographed before and after from the same angle, with timestamps, together with the batch numbers of the products used. With regular care the trail returns far more slowly, because a smooth, sealed surface gives soot less to hold on to than a dulled one.
